The David Wright Foundation was founded
in 2005 by David Wright of the New York Mets. The sole purpose and
mission of the foundation is to provide financial support and raise
awareness for those in need and to financially support other charitable
organizations. The foundation pays special attention to Multiple Sclerosis
and children's causes, and maintains its focus on the New York City
and Norfolk, Virginia metropolitan areas.
In addition to re-opening his site with an entirely new layout, which features a slideshow banner, Art has made available some signed memorabilia. Of course, my favorite is a team photo from 1969, signed by 28 members of the roster, including Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan, and Yogi Berra!
However, I strongly recommend that you pickup a copy of his book, "The Magnificent Seasons," which covers the magical year in which the Mets, Jets, and Knicks all found their way to their first championships. It's a must read for all New York sports fans!
